Who We Are to Work For
Floors Market has been installing carpet and vinyl plank in Tampa Bay homes for over thirty years. We are deliberately small. There is no call center, no regional manager and no commission target driving people to oversell a customer.
What that means for you: you deal with the owner, decisions get made the same day, and you are not one of two hundred numbers on a schedule.
What We Look For
- Craft. We are judged on seams, stairs and trim. If you take pride in the finish work rather than rushing to the next job, you will fit here.
- Reliability. Turning up when you said you would, at the time you said, is most of this job.
- How you are in someone’s home. Our customers are often at home while we work, and a good share are older. Being decent, tidy and easy to have around matters as much as the installation itself.
- Straightness. If something goes wrong, we want to hear it from you first.
Open Roles
We hire experienced installers and outside sales representatives as the work requires, and we keep good people on file between openings.
- Flooring Installer — carpet and LVP, experienced
- Installation Helper — entry level, no experience required
- Outside Sales Representative — realtor, investor and builder accounts
- Installation Crews & Subcontractors — established crews with their own tools and insurance
Nothing listed that fits you? Send your details anyway. Flooring work is seasonal and we would rather know who is out there before we need someone.

Common Questions
Do you hire year round?
We hire when the work requires it rather than on a fixed schedule, which in flooring tends to follow the housing market. We keep applications on file and call people back when something opens up.
Do I need my own tools?
Experienced installers are generally expected to have their own hand tools. Helpers are not. Subcontract crews are expected to be fully equipped and insured.
Do you pay per job or hourly?
It depends on the role and your experience. We will be straight with you about the numbers on the first call rather than making you sit through an interview to find out.
