What Happens
- You call. Tell us roughly what rooms and what is driving it.
- We load the truck. Carpet and plank samples matched to what you described.
- We come to you. Anywhere in our 68-community service area.
- You look properly. Samples go on the floor, in your light, next to your furniture. Keep them overnight if you want.
- We measure. Rooms, stairs, transitions, and the substrate underneath.
- You get one number. Material, labor, trim, removal and haul-away.
Why We Will Not Quote Over the Phone
Square footage alone does not tell us what the subfloor needs, and that is where quotes go wrong. A price given blind over the phone is either padded to cover the unknown, or it is going to be revised once we lift the old floor.
You will see flooring companies advertise a headline figure — from $75, from $1.99 a square foot. It gets the phone to ring. The problem is that the real number almost always lands well above it once someone actually measures, and the customer feels they were led on. That is where a lot of one-star reviews in this trade come from.
We would rather give you one honest number after seeing the rooms than a low one before. The visit is free precisely so that the price can be firm — and the price we quote is the price you pay.
The one exception is our $350 one-room special, and it is an exception for a reason: it is a complete fixed price with the limits stated up front — 120 square feet, stock colors, empty room, five local areas. That is a whole job at a set price, not a teaser that climbs.
What the Number Includes
- Material.
- Labor.
- Padding or underlayment.
- Baseboard, quarter round, transitions and thresholds where quoted.
- Furniture moving.
- Removal and haul-away of the old flooring.
- Any subfloor preparation the job needs.
The things other quotes leave out are the things that turn into extras later. We put them in.
No Obligation Means No Obligation
Plenty of people have us out, look at samples, and decide to wait a year. That is fine, and it is why we do not charge for the visit. We are not going to sit in your kitchen until you sign something.
